Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 4 was all about Emma O’Brea’s lost husband. It brought to light a web of lies — betrayals and long-kept secrets. Durance gave an amazing performance as Emma, a woman who is stuck between societal standards and her own inner demons.

Most of the time, Cassandra was Karl’s girlfriend or a supporting character. But in this show, she really came into her own. She showed her love for her community by organizing a fundraiser for the nearby Arts Center. It was also a chance for her to reconnect with Emma , even though they weren’t as close as they used to be. By the end of the case, Karl let her talk to suspects, which showed that he was becoming more confident in her skills.
