Next week, Fox is coming back with the second episode titled of “Fall From Grace” the show Murder in a Small Town. As a new case takes focus this captivating procedural drama which charmed viewers with its blend of small town allure, budding romance and crime solving promises much more of the same.
The town of Gibson, its police chief Karl Alberg (played by Rossif Sutherland), and the town librarian Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk) were presented to us in the premiere. Karl and Cassandra’s developing romance emerged as a central theme throughout a murder investigation, captivating viewers with their chemistry as mysteries simmered in the background. With a touching (and kitten-filled!) reconciliation, the show ended with a suggestion that their turmoil is far from done.
Murder in a Small Town Episode 2 “Fall From Grace” takes this up a notch as Cassandra’s past is unveiled in a more tragic manner. During the night when Cassandra and her friends are attending a high school reunion with several fellow students, a dead body is found near the marina. As the police chief, Karl is drawn into this investigation that attempts to uncover some truth surrounding this horrific murder in Gibson as well as the identity of the victim.
While watching this episode, the audience is kept in the dark as to the endeavors of investigating crimes in a small town, which is the shows premise. Episode 2 will put their relationship to the test even more after the tension in the first episode, especially because Cassandra may have been involved in the crime.
Will their relationship withstand one more test? And how will Karl manage the growing responsibilities of his job as police chief in a community where secrets are accumulating with his personal life?
As with the first episode ‘Fall From Grace’ send out assurances of drama, suspense and emotions. The family and local authorities are sure to find this episode captivating: Karl continued his pursuit of the truth about Gibson’s past and Cassandra becomes involved in the latest case.
