Kevin Alves Has Been Promoted To Series Regular As Travis Martinez In "Yellowjackets"

Kevin Alves, who plays Travis Martinez on the television show Yellowjackets, has been promoted to series regular.

Travis is the son of Bill Martinez, who serves as the head coach of the Yellowjackets ladies soccer team, in case you missed the first season of the Showtime drama. When their plane crashed in the Canadian bush, killing the coach, the players were headed for the nationals.

Travis, an anxious and cautious teenager, eventually began dating Natalie Scatorccio, who was portrayed by Sophie Thatcher as a teenager and by Juliette Lewis as an adult. Andres Soto portrayed Travis as an adult in season one.

Kevin  Alves is a figure skater and actor from Brazil and Canada. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, on October 19, 1991. He grew up in Newmarket, also in Ontario. His mother comes from Brazil and his father comes from Portugal. At five ISU Championships, he took part in the free skate. He is the first Brazilian male skater to compete in an ISU Championship (2008 Four Continents) and the first Brazilian skater to compete in any event at the World Junior Championships (2008).

He appeared in two seasons of both Shadowhunters as Bat Belasquez and Locke & Key as Javi Gonzalez prior to Yellowjackets. He has previously made appearances on Warehouse 13 and Degrassi: The Next Generation as Fabio.

For Yellowjackets’ second season, new cast members Elijah Wood, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell have been confirmed. The drama was written by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, and Entertainment One produced it for Showtime (eOne).
