On the same day that its theatrical debut, Blumhouse slasher trilogy Halloween Ends will have its Peacock streaming service debut. The third and concluding installment of the Michael Myers trilogy was directed by David Gordon Green and co-written by Danny McBride. It is the fourth movie in its own chronology, which, if we ignore the other sequels, takes place forty years after the events of the original 1978 Halloween, even though it is technically the thirteenth movie in the wider franchise.

Laurie Strode character arc’s culmination was celebrated today, and Curtis thanked fans for their support over the years in a two-minute video update published by the Halloween franchise’s official Twitter account. She said that Halloween Ends will debut on the NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock the same day it hits cinemas in the video. They employed the same release method for Halloween Kills last year, which was successful both in the theatre and on streaming. Check out the tweet below for more information:

The events of Halloween and its 2021 follow-up, Halloween Kills, which both take place on Halloween night in 2018, will be four years apart when Halloween Ends, which hits theatres on October 14, is released. The story will centre on Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), who is writing a book and has her granddaughter Allyson’s (Andi Matichak) new boyfriend, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), accused of killing a child while he was babysitting. Laurie Strode’s life is then once again thrown into disarray. Along with Nick Castle playing Michael Myers, the ensemble also includes Will Patton, Kyle Richards, Michael O’Leary, Omar Dorsey, and James Jude Courtney.
