Tracker Season 1 Episode 7 Recap

When the seventh episode of Tracker airs, called “Chicago,” Colter Shaw is sent to the busy city of Chicago to find Sun Mai, a good friend of Bobby’s. As Sun Mai, an MMA fighter, tries to get her family’s visas ready, she mysteriously leaves. To sum up the episode, here it is:

Men attack Sun Mai while she is walking alone at night at the beginning of the show. Bob and Colter get together to talk about Sun Mai’s departure. Her bloody phone is found in the alley where she was last seen with her. Colter and Bobby look into it more and find out that Sun Mai got into a fight with a different fighter named Dake before she disappeared. But it looks like it’s not over anything important.

When they went to see Sun Mai’s mother, she told them that her daughter’s visa had ended, which made her act shaky before she disappeared. Sun Mai talked to a fake lawyer named George who said he could help them with their Green Card applications but never did. Colter finds out that George is a con artist with a history of crimes. That’s how he finds out that Sun Mai was in debt to loan sharks and that they were the ones who took her.

They are sure that Sun Mai is not being held by immigration with the help of government lawyer Greenie. Colter finds the loan sharks’ van and hides in it to look for Sun Mai.They find Sun Mai in an underground cage fighting ring, where she has to fight to pay off her debt. Their friend Bobby helps them get her out of the operation, which is run by Art, the gym owner. Art is caught by Colter with the help of Bobby, who turns out to be more than just Sun Mai’s friend.

Back at Sun Mai’s house, they celebrate their win, and Colter decides not to take Bobby’s money for helping him find Sun Mai. As Colter gets ready to leave Chicago, he thinks about the things that have happened to him in the past and gets word that Art’s business has been shut down. Colter turns down Bobby and Reenie’s offer to join them for lunch, which makes him think of a time he had with Billie in an earlier episode. As the story comes to a close, Sun Mai is saved, and Colter continues his journey as a rewardist, leaving behind thankful friends in Chicago.
