Nicholas Rossi has many aliases and is accused of many crimes. He is the subject of an interesting —true crime story that has captivated people. His exciting international chase, shocking revelations and desperate attempts to avoid justice are all shown in the   This show goes deep into the complicated life of this famous fugitive. Who is Nicholas Rossi, though, and where is he now?

Who is Nicholas Rossi?

Nicholas Rossi, whose real name is Nicholas Alahverdian and was born in Providence, Rhode Island, is an American wanted for sexual assaults and is known for coming up with complicated plans to avoid being caught. His story starts with a hard childhood. Rossi said that the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) abused and neglected him. As a young man, he fought for changes to child welfare and even told lawmakers about the abuse he said he had experienced.

It was clear that this activist had a darker side, though. A 21-year-old woman in Orem, Utah and a 26-year-old ex-girlfriend in Salt Lake County were both charged with rape in 2008. Both events had lasting effects on the people who were hurt, and they were the start of a long and complicated journey for Rossi as he tried to avoid responsibility.

The Fake Death

Rossi made a complicated plan to fake his own death in 2020, when he was getting more and more into trouble with the law. He said that he had non-Hodgkin lymphoma in its late stages and put out an obituary announcing his death. The obituary called him a “warrior” who lived a brave life— which was not at all how he was.

Authorities weren’t fooled by the trick, even though many people did. At this point, Rossi had already run away to the UK, where he changed his name to Arthur Knight. He said he was an Irish orphan who had never been to the U.S. to help his lie, he spoke with a British accent and used a wheelchair and an oxygen mask.

The Capture in Scotland

Rossi’s act started to fall apart when he was hospitalized in Glasgow in December 2021 for COVID-19. The alert hospital staff knew who he was because of his unique tattoos, which had been shared by Interpol. This important identification helped catch him.

After that, there was a long legal battle. Rossi fought hard against being sent to the US, saying that he was not Nicholas Rossi but Arthur Knight. When he went to court, he put on dramatic shows, like using medical equipment, and he always denied being who he said he was. Even though he tried, DNA evidence proved that he was Nicholas Rossi, sealing his fate.

A Path of Lies and Crimes

Rossi has lied and broken the law many times in his life. In Rhode Island, Ohio and Massachusetts, he is also being accused of crimes similar to the ones he is accused of in Utah. He was able to avoid being caught for years because he could take on new identities and make up complicated stories. He got married using the fake name and kept tricking people, which made his web of lies even more complicated.

Rossi made a bold claim that he left the United States not to avoid being caught by the police, but because of threats against his life because of his work as an activist in Rhode Island. Even though this story was interesting, it didn’t hold up when more proof of his crimes came to light.

Nick Rossi: Where is He Now?

Rossi was brought back to the United States after a three-year extradition battle. He is now being held in Utah County jail. The rapes happened in 2008, and he is being charged with them. His $250,000 bail has not been paid. According to the prosecutors, he is a major flight risk because he has a history of lying and avoiding justice.

Rossi tried to lower his bail to $10,000, but the court wouldn’t let him. This shows how serious his charges are and how little faith the court has in his good intentions. From his jail cell, he keeps denying that he did what he did, putting on a show of innocence even though there is a lot of evidence against him.

Rossi: A Fugitive Faking Death, a four-part docuseries, goes into great detail about his life and crimes for people who are interested in his story. The series shows how Rossi went from having a troubled childhood to being on the run around the world.

The series looks at his many fake names, his bold attempts to fake his own death and the never-ending efforts of the police to catch him. It’s a scary picture of a man who did awful things to avoid being responsible—leaving a path of pain and confusion in his wake.
