Fans saw an emotional scene in “My Way” the fourth episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star’s fifth season— as Tommy Vega (played by Gina Torres) and Pastor Trevor Parks (D.B. Woodside) made the decision to separate. Their love story ended suddenly and in a very sad way, after years of getting closer and dealing with many problems.
It had been going well between Tommy and Trevor. They even won over Trevor’s tough ex-wife, who had accused Tommy of poisoning her. They looked like they were going to have a great future together, but an unexpected problem caused a big split. Tommy had to face a hard truth when Trevor said he might move to Kansas to be closer to his daughter. Her life and job are both based in Austin, Texas, where she raises her two girls and works as a paramedic captain. She could not handle the thought of being away from Trevor for a long time.
It was a respectful and heartbreaking scene when Tommy and Trevor broke up. They both knew that their lives were going in different directions. Even though they wanted the best for each other, it was clear that the relationship couldn’t work because of where they lived and how they lived.
