Early Life and Education
Seemona Sumasar was born in Guyana as the first of the three children in her loving family. The crucial events in her childhood include her parents’ decision to move to New York where she was only 11 years of age. Seemona was a girl living a large city where living was quite a challenge but she found strength in the way her father struggled to earn a living. He worked in a piano manufacturing firm and later started a taxi business to make her embrace hard work in future businesses since she ventured in the business world.

Seemona met Jerry for the first time when he visited her restaurant and began chatting with her, his name, he said was a police officer from the station close to the restaurant. She fell for his smooth talking charming personality plus he appeared to be trying to be helpful to her, they started dating but her daughter was not very comfortable with this arrangement. After some period of time, Jerry began living with Seemona, and they even spoke of marriage, however the relationship would change for the worse.
The Nightmare Unfolds
While in 2009, Seemona received a disturbing telephone call from a lady identifying herself to be Jerry’s wife. The woman did not only inform the audience that Jerry was a married man but also a liar, who was not a police officer as he pretended to be. Jerry, together with Seemona confronted and he began to lessen things telling Seemona that while it was true that he was separated, he never engaged in any of the more severe acts as accused by Seemona. Even though P wanted to continue the relationship, Seemona decided to leave him, which made him start an extremely cruel streak.
Jerry’s response was one of the cruelest forms of bullying, one that was most probably planned. He bashfully attacked Seemona in her own home and upon her going to the police to report that she had been raped by him he then went on to do everything in his power to ruin her life. Jerry had framed Seemona for a series of armed robbery incidences despite knowing she was innocent but his serious plan made her be arrested and imprisoned for seven months.
Fighting Back
Seemona’s days in jail were definitely the time she would label as her ‘dark’ years, nonetheless she never lost faith. Following the inputs of her family members and her councils, she successfully defended herself. As much as it was tough, the truth came out when one of the other girls who had a relationship with Jerry testified against him and revealed the plan. Jerry was convicted in several charges of rape and conspiracy among others and he was therefore sent to jail for a total of 33 years.
Where is Seemona Sumasar Now
After going through such a life threatening experience, Seemona Sumasar has done so well to reconstruct her life. She has given up the corporate job and became a flight attendant as she has been for the past four years, after 2014. Through her employment with Frontier Airlines, Seemona has gotten to travel round the globe, make friends and even get a new lease in life after years of suffering.
