A new horror-thriller from Sam Raimi, Don’t Move, will debut on Netflix on October 25, increasing the Halloween thrills. Fans of Raimi’s usual suspense and scary turns are in for a treat as the master of the macabre brings this exciting cat-and-mouse game to life.
The main character in Don’t Move is played by (Yellowstone Star) Kelsey Asbille. She is a grieving woman who goes deep into a forest by herself to find peace and healing. But when she meets a strange man played by Finn Wittrock, things go in a disturbing direction. When the stranger injects her with a drug that makes her paralyzed, she fights desperately to stay alive and escape before her nervous system shuts down completely.
The trailer, which came out during Netflix’s Geeked Week event, gives fans of Raimi a taste of the tense atmosphere they’ve come to expect. Asbille’s character fights the poison and avoids Wittrock’s character, who follows her through the dark forest, every move she makes is a life-or-death choice.
T.J. Cimfel and David White wrote the script for Don’t Move, and Adam Schindler and Brian Netto are in charge of directing it. Raimi’s signature mix of suspense and horror is in this movie, which gives viewers a high-stakes thrill ride just in time for Halloween.
Last summer, filming took place in Bulgaria. Despite the Hollywood strikes, work continued after getting a SAG-AFTRA waiver. The movie, which was made by Sam Raimi’s production company, Capstone Studios, and Hammerstone Studios, is sure to be both scary and thought-provoking.
Mark your calendars for October 25; Don’t Move looks like it will be one of the most suspenseful additions to Netflix’s Halloween lineup. It will also bring Raimi’s unique style of horror to TV for the first time.
