“Grey’s Anatomy” For Season 19, Midori Francis Has Been Cast

0
Midori Francis

Midori Francis, who starred in The Sex Lives of College Girls, has been chosen to play a new medical resident in the forthcoming 19th season of ABC’s popular medical programme Grey’s Anatomy. She joins Niko Terho and Alexis Floyd, who were just cast, as the third newcomer for the upcoming season. In the Season 18 finale, Grey Sloan was instructed to dissolve and completely rebuild its teaching department. All three actors portray first-year surgical residents there.

With eight siblings, Francis’ Mika Yasuda is the middle kid. She makes use of the fact that she is accustomed to being disregarded and undervalued. Mika has enormous student loan debt from medical school, but she is tenacious and sure that she can succeed in the programme and advance to the top despite this.

On HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, Francis portrays Alicia, the director of the women’s centre at Essex College. She had a one-year series regular contract and will remain as a recurring on the forthcoming second season of the show, which had been the character’s original plan, I hear.

Prior to this, Francis portrayed Lily in the Netflix series Dash & Lily, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, and in the 2019 Universal film Good Boys, which had its SXSW premiere. She could also be seen in the Netflix movie Afterlife of the Party and the Facebook Watch series The Birch.

Francis has acted in several theatrical works, notably Ming Peiffer’s Usual Girls, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Leading Actress. One Entertainment, A3 Artists Agency, and Johnson, Shapiro, Slewett & Kole are her agents.

Powerpuff Girls reboots

The creators of two popular Cartoon Network shows are working on new iterations of their programs. Craig McCracken and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe remade the cartoons.

Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe is working on reboots of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and The Powerpuff Girls. Both shows’ creator, Craig McCracken, is affiliated with them. In 1992, McCracken started working for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons.

The second animated remake of McCracken’s original 1998–2005 series will be The Powerpuff Girls. The first, which aired on Cartoon Network from 2016 to 2019, was produced without his input; McCracken worked at Disney at the time. The CW also created a live-action adaptation of the narrative featuring the three protagonists as young adults, but the show was never picked up for a full season.

The new Powerpuff Girls will center on Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three superheroes who rotate between attending school, battling crime, dominating at hopscotch, and saving the world before it’s time for bed in the original Powerpuff Girls.

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, meanwhile, will be remade as a preschool series with a new cast of imaginative playmates who are just as naughty as Bloo, Eduardo, and the rest of the original group.

Sam Register, president of Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros. Animation, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, stated in a statement that Craig’s return to Hanna-Barbera was a chance that could not be missed. “The Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, two of his finest works, are coming with him along with his unmatched sense of humor and inventiveness, and we are so pleased for these characters to be a part of the new history-taking shape at the studio.”

Both projects will be developed under the direction of Sarah Fell, vice president of original kids and family animation at Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. The two series will be produced by the London-based company which will have global distribution.

Travis Fimmel-

According to Deadline, Vikings star Travis Fimmel has been cast as the series’ protagonist in the new mystery drama Black Snow, which will air on Stan in Australia. The six-part series explores the mystery surrounding a small-town murder that shook the Australian South Sea Islander community in North Queensland. In the US, Sundance Now is available.

With Brooke Satchwell, Alexander England, Rob Carlton, Erik Thomson, Kym Gyngell, and Australian musician Ziggy Ramo making his feature debut, the film also stars newcomers Talijah Blackman-Corowa and Jemmason Power.

The Stan Original has elements of a coming-of-age story and a mystery. Isabel Baker, a 17-year-old, was killed in 1994. The crime rocked Isabel’s Australian South Sea Islander community and horrified Ashford, a small town. The murderer was never found, and the case was never closed. Cold-case investigator James Cormack (Fimmel) is on the hunt for the murderer in 2020 after the discovery of a secret revealed by the opening of a time capsule.

Lucas Taylor wrote the series, which is produced by Goalpost Television, along with Boyd Quakawoot and Beatrix Christian. The series, which is produced by Goalpost’s Rosemary Blight, Lois Randall, and Kaylene Butler, is directed by Sian Davies and Matthew Saville, shot by Murray Lui, and written by Matthew Saville and Sian Davies.

The Ngaro Gia and Juru people of the BirraGubba Nation and the Australian South Sea Islander group are among the traditional custodians of the lands on which the series is being produced, according to the show’s creators, who also acknowledge Black Snow.

The Director of “BoJack Horseman” Revived the Classic Sitcom “Golden Girls 3033”

Golden Girls 3033

An animated sci-fi edge is being added to the famous live-action sitcom The Golden Girls by the master of animated comedy Mike Hollingsworth. For Golden Girls 3033, the animator has released a five-minute pilot. It sends our heroes far into the future while retaining all the previous tensions.

The pilot for Golden Girls 3033, directed by BoJack Horseman supervising director Mike Hollingsworth and featuring the iconic TV quartet of Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia traveling into the future.

The idea uses animation to transport Blanche (Rue McClanahan), Dorothy (Bea Arthur), Rose (Betty White), and Sophia (Estelle Getty) to Miami in the year 3033, where they discovered Ponce De León’s Fountain of Youth. The hit Susan Harris show ran on NBC for seven seasons from 1985 to 1992. Watch the video bloew

Given the original series’ iconic significance in the gay community, Hollingsworth plans for the episodes to be 30 minutes long.

What has changed now?

The girls rip Stan to pieces in the Golden Girls 3033 pilot when he displays the invisible-to-the-naked-eye diamond he bought for his new fiancée, exactly as they did in the 1989 episode’s original airing.

In Hollingsworth’s adaptation, Stan hurls the pious Rose about with his tentacles and speaks in an incomprehensibly strange language. The women in the episode also reside in a house where robots reconstruct a lost limb, lipstick is laser-applied, and the kitchen has a food dispenser that serves Lonely Lady Lasagna and Dateless Desert for One (it comes in “sorrow” flavor). Even the beloved theme music has a boppy electronic makeover, but the laugh track is still present. The character designs for the pilot were produced by his brother Bryan Hollingsworth.

Since Turner Networks’ original programming division was shuttered by Warner Bros. Discovery, TBS had expressed interest in the show. According to Hollingsworth, Golden Girls 3033 has garnered network interest, but his ideal scenario would be to see it on a streaming service like Disney+ or Hulu.
